Advisories
Avalanche Advisories for the GCAC region are a public service provided by the Flathead National Forest Service.
Advisories begin the first Friday in December and are issued once a week (on Friday mornings) until the third week in December when they are issued Tuesday and Friday mornings until April. Beginning in April, advisories are again issued just on Friday mornings until the second Friday in April. Know the snow and weather before you go!
Check the Current Glacier Country Advisory on Tuesday and Friday mornings or call 257-8402. Also check out the observations page for local skier, snowboarder, and snowmobiler field observations compiled by public and professional backcountry users throughout the week.
